Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have basic culinary knowledge and a willingness to learn and grow under experienced chefs. You will assist in food preparation, maintain kitchen hygiene, and support smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist senior chefs in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes.
  • Follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
  • Prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients for cooking.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
  • Help in setting up kitchen stations before service.
  • Support kitchen staff during busy service hours.
  • Monitor food quality and freshness.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and properly maintained.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly.
  • Assist in plating and presentation of dishes.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Handle basic cooking tasks under supervision.
  • Maintain discipline and follow kitchen protocols.
Educational Requirements
  • Diploma or certification in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
  • Basic training in cooking or kitchen operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Relevant experience can be considered in place of formal education.
